It also supports SVG, EMF and bitmap, the data being read from CSV or FITS files. The latest version available is Veusz 1.21.0, which has been recently released.

In this article I will show you how to install Veusz 1.21.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubunt 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS 0.3 Isus, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Pinguy OS 14.04, Pinguy OS 12.04.

Because it is available via PPA, install Veusz 1.21.0 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS and Pinguy OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the veusz package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jeremysanders/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install veusz

Optional, to remove veusz, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove veusz

Or, if you want to uninstall veusz, disable the recently added PPA and downgrade all the packages that got updated via the PPA, do:

$ sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
$ sudu ppa-purge ppa:jeremysanders/ppa
